If the Rocks win today, it all comes down to Sunday at Chavez Ravine. I truly hope the Rocks can pull another victory out of the hat. I would love for the last day of the season to mean something to a Giants fan.

I'll take what I can get.:(

I would like to see the Rockies clinch the division in front of the Dodger faithful. They're playing their regulars all series so if should be good.

Interestingly, the tie-breaker game would be on Tuesday because the Vikings-Packers game is on Monday Night... and the NFL refused to swap sites. Don't mess with the NFL.

Given Favre + The Packers visiting and the hype they are laying on this game ... not a big surprise.

I gave up after ten minutes, but I do remember talking about the Atlanta Braves attendance at some point this year. I remember talking about how the fans don't really support the team all that well, especially in the playoffs. In any case, I saw this article on ESPNY and thought I would pass it along.

Baseball Tonight Clubhouse: Let's talk about some things - MLB - ESPN
You weren't reporting anything new then, nor are you now. That's been the knock on Atlanta for over 15 years now.

I believe we were talking Florida and Atlanta a month or so ago. You said the demise of Atlanta this season would ultimately be their fan support, or lack thereof. I wondered why you didn't claim the same for Florida, since they routinely finish in the cellar of attendance stats every year. That's all...never disagreed that the Braves have crappy fan support.

That said, Atlanta still finished above average in both total and average attendance - MLB Attendance - Major League Baseball Attendance - ESPN

Reds and Astros news:

Dusty Baker may not be as safe in Cincinnati as the Reds' strong finish would suggest. Owner Bob Castellini reportedly has his eye on the Cardinals tandem of manager Tony La Russa and pitching coach Dave Duncan. ... Another former Cubs manager, Don Baylor, is being mentioned as a candidate for the vacancy in Houston, but general manager Ed Wade is trying to sell Jim Fregosi to owner Drayton McLane. ...
