Rockpile seems about right, Supertramp seems higher than I expected, Bowie seems much lower, Skateaway a little low, and Horizontal Bop seems pretty low to me.

#62 Supertramp "Breakfast In America"
#72 Dire Straits "Skateaway"

I was only 10 at the time, so I wouldn't know how big they were then. But looking back, I would think these could have been top 40s.

#77 Bob Seger "The Horizontal Bop"

Peaked at #42. That's why it seems low.

Good 14
Okay 6
Bad 20

Just heard 14 of these songs at Thanksgiving when they played '88.

38. Robbie Nevil – Back On Holiday

First time on the VJ40? Don't recognize it.

18. Chicago – Look Away

My guess at #1.

17. Tiffany – All This Time

5. Def Leppard – Armageddon It

Wow didn't realize this charted so high!

3. Poison – Every Rose Has Its Thorn

I considered picking this for my #1, but ultimate chose "Look Away". Oops.

1. Bobby Brown – My Prerogative

My friend's son & roommate both picked this one. I got whooped again.

#80 Fairground Attraction "Perfect"

Massive chart-topping hit overseas. Not surprised it didn't make the top 40 here. I think it kinda sucks.

Won't make the top 40

#72 Traveling Wilburys "End Of The Line"
#74 Alphaville "Forever Young"
#76 Georgia Satellites "Hippy Hippy Shake"
These surprise me. They are infinitely better than 90% of the songs in the top 40 in this week.

Won't make the top 40
#87 Al B Sure "Killing Me Softly"
I recall hearing this abomination frequently. Glad it did not break the 40 but a bit surprised.
