This is my kind of countdown.
There was a little cheese mixed in, but I wouldn't really have changed the station.
28. Sade – Smooth Operator
This will forever be Smooth Escalator to me.

29. Firm – Radioactive
I thought that this was a great song. What a line-up. That Tony Franklin fretless bass is great, and Chris Slade had such a great monster drum sound.
I thought that it was a way for Page to break free from the Zeppelin. I would have liked to have heard more from them.

26. Frankie Goes To Hollywood – Relax
One of my favorites. I keep trying to get the band to play it.

24. Power Station – Some Like It Hot
I wish the Power Station would have done more albums too.

14. Animotion – Obsession
This is another one that I love. It's a guilty pleasure song for sure.

Solid countdown. Even Beavis & Butthead are taking the week off!
They can use the break!

40. Cars – Why Cant I Have You
Great song. Don't hear it enough. And the girl doing a back bend in the video is forever burnt into my mind.
:love2:Grrrrrr baby...... Grrrrrrr.

I’ll have to look for the non-lip tracks.
I heard their 2nd album back in the day, but should look for a digital copy. I haven’t heard it since.........

1. Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)

My friend's son and I guessed this correctly. My friend's roommate went with "Coming Up", but I knew right away that's not until summer. I can't say anything though because last summer I picked "Another One Bites The Dust" and that doesn't peak until the end of the year.

#94 RCR "Scandal"

Not bad.

#100 Foreigner "Women"

Lou Gramm's not singing. And whoever is singing, isn't very good.

Won't make the top 40

Rush on a countdown!

Probably about 1/3 of the count down I'd want to hear again. A lot of bad soft rock tunes in this era.

Up there maybe, but not down here.

In case you haven't noticed, 'Mericans aint always too bright.

I know they only had the 1 top 40 hit — the afterthought song limelight added to balance side b with side a. But that is a surprise. That isn’t even their best track.

25: THE LIVING YEARS – MIKE & THE MECHANICS

My friend's old roommate's guess at #1

20: AFTER ALL – CHER & PETER CETERA

849ec66b71f5b46eaaf54fdc6fd56492.jpg

4: ETERNAL FLAME – THE BANGLES

My guess at #1

2: THE LOOK - ROXETTE

My friend's son's guess at #1.
For 17 weeks straight, at least one of the three of us had correctly guessed the #1 song. This week, we all missed it.

#49 Carly Simon "Let The River Run"

Won a Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Award - and I've never heard it before just now. My wife says she sang it with her chorus in high school though.

#71 Edie Brickell & New Bohemians "Circle"
#76 Replacements "I'll Be You"

Love these songs.

#82 Easterhouse "Come Out Fighting"

Sounds like Footloose at first.

#83 Figures On A Beach "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet"

Terrible cover!

#90 Gina Go-Go "I Can't Face The Fact"

Another Hot 100 artist with no Wikipedia page.

#92 Choirboys "Run To Paradise"

Sounds like the guy from LA Guns singing for Mr Mister. That being said, not bad actually.

Will never reach the top 40:
#49 Carly Simon "Let The River Run"
#53 Pasadenas "Tribute (Right On)"
#54 Steve Winwood "Hearts On Fire"
#55 Dino "24/7"
#64 Robbie Nevil "Somebody Like You"
#67 Peter Schilling "The Different Story"
