I debated about doing Kasey Kasem but decided to do the local morning man at my current favourite FM radio station in Toronto -- BOOM 97.3. He was a DJ on CJME back in 1979 & 1980 which I listened to regularly as a teenager. So its kind of full circle (ironically the morning guy from a competing station from Moose Jaw CHAB was the morning guy for another station I listened to in the early 90s). This guy's name is Stu Jefferies.

Being an old time Midwesterner, I should have picked Larry Lujack, John Records Landecker or Dick Bionde. But went with Cousin Brucie.
Now he does his Saturday night 60's Love Hour Half Hour Hour (which is more like 20 minutes) from his home.

Growing up I could hear his show from AM 77 on late clear nights all the way from New York. The power of 50000 Watts.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, BAB-UH!!!!!!

I have this old record from the 80's that has samples of radio broadcasts on it, & there's a Wolfman track on there. He's yelling to listeners about writing in to get the station's new iron-on transfer in the mail. I guess it had the station logo on it, or whatever. But at one point he yells "YA PUT IT ON YA T-SHIRT OR YA PILLACASE!!!!!!!!!!!"

I always thought the idea of putting an iron-on design on my pillowcase was hysterical. Anytime I bust out a Wolfman impression, I yell that line.

Bummer. In the same week I posted this was the same week Cousin Brucie announced his retirement from Sirius XM. And I didn't even know it until last night when I noticed he was not on the air.

Silly me, i thought he'd retired sometime ago. He has to be in his 80's by now?

He is 84.
Now, unbelieveable, Cousin Brucie is returning to WABC New York after leaving like 40 years ago. Starting in September. I'll have to see if I can get the podcast or find a very high powered radio

Isn't WABC Right-wing talk nowadays? I know that's where Hannity and Rush got started.
