Ha! I had the same thing happen with the gas cap. It would run for a while, then keep stalling. And since I also broke the pull-start cord, I'd have to push it back to the garage. But with the new cap, it's been great all winter.I broke my snowblower last winter. (Pulled the starter cord right out of it. (I know, I'm a brute.))
Took it to get it fixed over the summer. Used it once this winter. It wouldn't stay running. Turns out that the breather valve thing in the gas cap fell out and it it had vacuum problems.) I ordered a new gas cap, and it hasn't snowed since.
I just might get through the season without having to use it again.
