I haven't heard Celldweller before. Cool. Dark and sinister is a good description.

The groove reminds me a bit of A3.

I was going through my original 2016 posts on Scotch Sampler, and in my "best of the year", I posted a low-fi version of Prince's posthumously released song Stare. Well, now you can get the album online, so here it is, with an awesome bass line

This one led to some interesting facts. I was listening to Sussudio by Phil Collins the other day, and I noticed the crazy bass line, comprised of an endless stream of 16th notes. I wondered if that was a synth line or a bass guitar. Turns out, it's a synth on the album, but for live performances, they use veteran studio musician Leland Sklar. He's the one with the long beard

Don't know if it's one of the best bass lines ever, but I heard it on my way into work today on my 90s playlist and it's def a good 'un. One of those songs where the bassline really IS the foundation of the song. PS: I absolutely adore every single Wish b-side, all six.
