I should mention this one: Herb Cox, co-founder and lead singer of 1950s-60s doo-wop group The Cleftones, died December 7 at 80. The Cleftones' hits include Heart & Soul, Lover Boy, Little Girl Of Mine and Can't We Be Sweethearts.
Scott, born Giovanni Scafone Jr. in Toronto, had nine top-40 hits and four top-ten hits, 1958-60. The biggest were Leroy, Goodbye Baby, Burning Bridges, My True Love and What In The World's Come Over You.
