Emoji Keyboard For Mac

I discovered I have access to this thing on my MacBook. I press CTRL+COMMAND+SPACE to pull the keyboard up. I scroll through all the little graphics but clicking on one doesn't automatically add it to wherever I am typing, like here or on Twitter. I can copy and paste but then I get this:

Typical for Mac to make it more difficult than it needs to be. And even though I can add them here they don't show up.

That's goofy. They show up from my droid here, so it shouldn't be a XenForo setting.
