Ya gotta find a way to find something else to turn to besides alcohol.

And you better get out of love with the previous ones or all subsequent ones will fail.

strong points.

this last one was mostly a rebound. i probably wasn't being fair not letting her know that.

I have a coworker like Koop that can add and drop lots of pounds in a hurry.

Whenever there's a workplace weight loss competition, he'd put on some extra pounds beforehand and drop all the weight after.

You mentioned before you've only gone up or down like 2 pounds since March 2020. That is astounding to me.

I completely gave up on my diet for the past few days. I've been eating hoagies and candy at an embarrassing rate. I've ballooned up to 207 as of this morning.

At least I'm still doing my walks. Without those I'd probably be 220. Today I get back to normal with my eating.

I was up around 203 for the last 2 weeks. I managed 197 Saturday morning, but leveled off at an even 200 today.

Good to see ya back.
What kind on hoagies?

I'm not sure anybody has told you, but despite going down smooth, alcohol contains a lot of calories and can add the pounds.

I've been trying to do intermittent fasting (eat for 8 hours, fast for 16) but haven't been sticking to it lately. I've been around 249 for a while now. I'd like to get to 180. The trick to IF is what you CAN do (drink water, coffee, tea, as long as you don't add anything to it like cream and/or sugar). I also bought a kettlebell that I'm going to start working out with, and so some more power walking/jogging around some of the many lakes around here.

Didn't know about this thread until Scotch mentioned it elsewhere.

In the summer of 2015, I weighed 174. I did an elimination diet starting that October (that was supposed to last only a few months but dragged on for a couple years) and dropped to 128 in less than 4 months. And even though people said I looked gaunt, I STILL had a paunch (it was smaller, but definitely there).

Fast forward - for over a year and a half I've weighed between 161 and 169, usually the upper end.

My goal is to get down to 145 (thinner but not 'gaunt' looking), but also put on 10 pounds of muscle (making it 155).

I'm 176, but I'm 5'8". If I recall, you're like 6'6". So that seems low.

I would imagine you're not a large person, because that's a crazy low weight.

I used to be 5' 9 1/2", but last weekend my son randomly measured me and insists I'm 5' 8 1/2". Shrinking already? At 50?

I was a bone rack as a kid. At 19, my bench press workout was the 45-LBS bar. No extra weights. I did work up to 3 sets of 3 of 135-LBS over the course of a couple years and finally got some meat on my bones. But I need more meat and less visceral fat.

Yep. Musician for sure.
You start to shrink @ 35 on average.
I can verify that.

I don't know which one beats us down faster, gravity, or women.

Am I right people????

And a math/IT geek to boot

Though I've occasionally had some big guys in the band over the years, and one huge guy auditioned for drums once. I mean like Bowling For Soup big.
