If you asked me to rattle off my ALL TIME 5 songs, this would probably be near the top of the list. 2 of my favorites by this band, the already featured "Man on the Moon" and this one. "Nightswimming" by REM.

Two more from the 90's. A good time for alternative music (for me anyway) since most stations around here were playing it right alongside the 80's alternative stuff like the Cure and Depeche Mode. Dave Matthews Band was and is one of my favorites from the former era. And are one of the few bands that you'll find me doing this when one of their 'groovier' songs comes on the radio in the car.

Especially the two featured songs here:

So Much to Say.

and

Tripping Billies.

While not a HUGE fan of this band, I've always liked this one because of the funky bass line.

Godsmack - Voodoo

For a short while on Alternative radio in the 90s you couldn't get away from this song. Really the band's only "hit".

Guster - Barrel of a gun

Nuno Bettencourt SHOULD be up there (at least among non-guitar aficionados) as a rock god! But we'll have to make do with listening to one of his better guitar performances on this Extreme hit.

Rest in Peace.

The Colorado music scene has pretty much been killing it lately. This is one of the latest bands out there from the Mile High City, sounds like they've got a hell of a future.

Nathaniel Ratliff & The Night Sweats - S.O.B.

A new track from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and they sound about as good as they ever have on this one. Might have to pick up the album if this is any indication.

Dark Necessities.
