Speaking of animals, it's time for another installment of "Tamarac's Beautiful Wildlife".

A few days ago was a real nature bonanza during my morning walk. First I observed a big, beautiful black cock. Unfortunately it wouldn't let me get close enough to stroke it.



Then just a few short minutes later I was lucky enough to come across some dumpster vultures!



Nature's beauty is truly breathtaking.

While Athena has been getting nicer and nicer as she gets older, I've said it before: if she was like 50 or 60 lbs I'd be dead 100 times over by now. And she's a domesticated house cat, not a wild animal.

Ok, bobcat guy from yesterday didn't do anything wrong, he just stumbled upon what was probably a mom protecting her cubs.

This guy on the other hand deserved to have his arm bitten off. Besides manatees, gators (along with iguanas) are some of the coolest parts of living down here. They are freaking modern day dinosaurs. But gators are only fun to see in or around a like from afar. What did this guy think was going to happen? That's why it's best to idolize manatees. They have nothing but love for humans and all aspects of life.

Everyone's favorite feature: Tamarac's Beautiful Wildlife is back!

For the first time since I posted that picture in August I saw my favorite black cock again on my morning walk today!



Look how thick it is and what a beautifully engorged, red head it has...truly amazing.

And last night was filled with nature. For the first time I saw a mouse then later on in the walk I was lucky enough to cross paths with a raccoon again.

Who need Animal Kingdom when you can see such gorgeous wildlife right out on the street?

This egret came visit, walked around my yard for maybe 10 minutes last week.
