You should capitalize on this and write a book or a screenplay or a Lifetime movie or something.
I thought of that at the time, but kids were involved.

A little more of the story. She goes back to school to get a college degree. She also starts meeting new groups of people, and hanging out with them. At some point she realizes she's pregnant with our 2nd daughter (surprisingly mine). She goes into labor 3 months prematurely, daughter is born at 1 lb 10 oz. Spends 2 weeks in NICU in Boston, then 6 more weeks in a local hospital. She's now the biologist I was carpooling with.

Anyway, the ex is now spending all her time with groups of friends. Child services gets involved with neglect of the kids. She gets pregnant again (not mine). After the baby is born, we separate. I file for divorce, and when I come to get my stuff from our house, she has me arrested. Her boyfriend is living there. He even starts riding around on my motorcycle.

End of part 2.

Part 3.

I get a lawyer. The ex has sold our family car (which was titled to me only), cleaned out our bank accounts, and maxed out credit cards in my name. She ends up with the kids and half of my 401k. I get the house back, which has been completely trashed.

She spends the next year moving from place to place, skipping out on rent and bad checks. She's got the kids in-tow the whole time. Sometimes she's in a drug den. Sometimes in a bread van. The 2 older kids pretty much miss a year of school.

So I file for custody of my 2 daughters, and visitations with the older boy. I represent myself. A guardian-ad-litem is assigned. The process takes a year, during which time she's constantly filing charges against me, missing court dates, and skipping doctor's appointments for the younger girl. All visitation exchanges are done at a police station. She doesn't allow me to visit with the older boy, who I raised for 9 years. But I'm still paying child support for 3 kids.

The younger (preemie) daughter is having serious health problems, due to spending most of her time in a 2-smoker household. But about 2 weeks before Mrs Scotch and I got married, we were awarded custody of my 2 girls.

There's more, but that's enough for now.

Thanks. Pretty much slept since that last post. Fever is down. Hadn’t eaten since noon yesterday, just had a PB&J sandwich. So far so good.

Time to check in Koop!

I’m back among the living.
Mostly slept since the last post. Fever seems to be gone. I ate a couple of cinnamon rolls, and grabbed a shower. Still exhausted, but on the bright side, I lost 5 pounds in 48 hours.
I’ll prolly gain it back watching pizza commercials during the Super Bowl, but it was nice to make it back to 198 for a minute.

Me too. I think it's getting a little better, but it still hurts without even moving it and I have a serious limp.

I go to two doctors tomorrow and then back to work on tues. My boss said to bring in a doctor's note for such a long absence so I intend to get on from each doctor.

Who knows if I'll get fired, but if I do I now have 1.5 years of managerial experience so it shouldn't be too hard to get a new job in the same industry.

Resting and staying off your feet is good.
It sounds like you’ve been doing good at work. Don't worry about it too much. The Drs note will go a long way. When an employer has someone that’s doing a good job, they don’t like to look for a replacement if they don’t have too.

Good news on the doctor front. The GP told me not to go to the specialist. He said I should wait a week and come back to him, and he has no copay so that's real nice. He also gave me a script for an anti-inflammatory. While there I picked up the script I got at the hospital for ibuprofen. I clearly told them I wasn't down for opioids so that's what I got. I took one about 2 hours ago and it seems to be working. I'm seeing him again next Monday. Hopefully I'll be better by then, who knows? He also gave me the note for my boss that lists the exact dates I've been out so that's good.

This was my first time leaving the house since I got back from the hospital last Tues. Today is also the first time iI even opened my blind. I was living in a dark, painful cave for the past full week. It was nice to get out. Went to Publix and got all the materials to cook myself a burger. That will be a good dinner.

Something real bad I just thought of. I haven't done any school work all week. That means I'm 2 modules down in an accelerated course. I'm going to worry about it in the morning and email the professor a pic of the doctor's note. On it has both sections for school and work but only work is checked because I didn't think of school till like an hour ago. But they are hand checked so I could just do it myself. This could be bad.

Log off of the DRC for a few hours and get some schools did Poindexter!

Glad the Dr is helping with the pain, and I'm proud of ya for telling him to avoid the heavy meds. Look at you acting all responsible and stuff!
