If you believe her side of the story. The prosecution did not. Neither did the jury.

Either way murder is not justified unless her life was in immediate danger. No danger from being asleep.

That seems like a BS ruling.
My bet is that the judge has gotten tickets for that before.
Doesn't seem like BS to me if you follow the court's logic. Cops need a warrant to attach a GPS to a car to find out where and when it moved. Likewise, they need a warrant to attach chalk to a car to find out if it moved over a period of time.
