The Cardinals are the only bright spot in Missouri pro sports these days...:(

I'm hoping for the Angels-Cardinals WS :)

Dodgers - Red Sox/Cardinals - Yankees would be good, too

1987 Rematch would be fun Twins - Cardinals

Watching Mauer stumble around the bag next to Cabrerra, I couldn't help but think he might have caught an alcohol burp rounding the bag.

It was going to be heartbreaking to either once it got to extra innings. Its like Game 7 of the Stanley Cup going into overtime.
I guess the cynic in me says that The Tigers should have wrapped up the division when they had the chance. Oh well...that's what makes baseball dramatic. You play 160+ games over 6 months, and it can come down to one pitch.

That is true. They had ample opportunities. They failed to beat the Twins last Thursday and failed to win more than one against the White Sox this weekend. All they required was one more victory and the title would have been theirs outright.

The game was a classic of all time...top five for sure. The only bits that take away from its overall greatness is that the game was played indoor on turf with the baggy ever present and from the TBS crew working the game. Carry and Darling are death by a thousand sports cliches.

I could not agree more. I ended up muting the TV sound and put the radio on for last night's Yankee game. John Sterling on WCBS radio is a bit of a torture, but not nearly as bad as those caricatures on TBS. UGH!
