That's odd. I listened it to three nights on the PC stream and sort of felt it was the other way around. I enjoyed Audio Visions, never listened much to Spa since I left Sirius before they brought back new-age, and found the combined station pretty odd. There's a lot more Enya/John Tesh kind of stuff in there and (Hearts aside) a lot less space and nature.
This is a good move in my opinion, but cause all the space and nature stuff really turned me off on Audiovisions. So, this is a good balance between the two which is as it should be. This has actually become a decent New Age channel.

When it comes to New Age/ Ambient. I think I actually like Sirius's Spa 73, better than Audiovisions. Though both of them are good. I wonder when they merge channels if both of them will survive or if we will lose Audiovisions all together. Then there is Escape which plays beautiful music. We listen to this at the office sometimes and the staff seems to really like it. I hope this is considered one of those channels that SIRIUS has nothing like it, so it remains.
I agree. Spa 73 definitely gets my vote.

I also hope that Escape doesn't get axed.

Hello, everyone. Allow me to resurrect an eleven-and-a-half-year-old thread – but I have a good reason. Calm ( Experience Calm ) bills itself as "the #1 app for sleep, meditation and relaxation." Calm offers relaxing music, sounds of nature, "mindfulness" programs, stretching exercises and instruction in meditation. On May 1, The Calm Channel will replace Spa on SiriusXM 68. Should we be excited? No, that would defeat the purpose, wouldn't it?

I'll tune in Watercolors and Chill from time to time, but never was able to hang with Spa. It probably can't hurt much to try Calm.

Here is a very dinky sample of what's being played on the new Calm channel. Calm plays the same artists who were heard on Spa – and Calm plays a lot of harp music and solo piano music. Too much, in fact. The music is making me drowsy. Or is that the idea?

Here is a bigger sample of the Calm playlist. The channel is perfect for anyone who needs a cure for insomnia or who wants to have nice background music while he's raking the sand and pebbles in his feng shui garden. If not for the screen displaying a succession of different song titles, I'd swear I was hearing the same three songs over and over and over and over and over and.......

I see Spa got bumped up...way up, but it's still on the app, along with an instrumental version of Spa.

I wonder if Calm is what Spa used to be, before they added songs with vocals and the bumpers...six minutes later and it's not. At least the bumpers aren't as creepy as the "wanna buy a needle?" ones that Lithium ran when they started putting not-music there.
