I am still holding tight with my 2009 MacBook Pro. Nice little bump though!

If I didn't have one of those already (and wasn't seriously looking at the Macbook Air with the illuminated keyboard) I'd probably bite. But my next Mac purchase will likely be an ipad2.

Planning to get a new 27" iMac to replace an aging 17" macbook pro. Add an SSD and big RAM boost for less than the new macbook pro. iPad has replaced the use for a laptop.

The Macbook Pro line is due for a redesign, what they'll do is beyond me but next year we're going to see some big changes (to the iMac also I'd say).

New Tech is always a fun day!!!!

Just received a new iMac 27", i7 processor, 256g SSD + 1tb, 12g ram (4gb std + 8g black friday purchase for much less $$ than Apple wanted to charge). Fun to look at until it's time to transfer apps (including CS 5.5) + data from the macbook pro. Fun is on the horizon...

I just bought my wife a 13 inch MacBook pro for Christmas. Come to find out she really needs a full size laptop. I think I will keep the Motorola Xoom I got her for myself. Oh yea I got the Apple Care too. Now she's set!

A 13" might be ok. I have one and the screen size is pretty good.

Congrats on the new toys.

Apple setup assistant is impressive. Put the laptop in disk mode, connected to the new iMac using firewire. Started the iMac, cranked up the setup assistant and had a few beers. New system exactly like the old one, including Apple and other apps, users, files, email setup. Only additional task was to enter the CS5 registration keys in photoshop. Wish windoze had something like this. Hoppiest system upgrade that I ever had.
