Thick As a Brick 2 is an upcoming studio album by Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson. It is based on Thick as a Brick, a 1972 conceptual album by Jethro Tull. The original cover of prequel is a newspaper mock, entitled The St. Cleve Chronicle and Linwell Advertiser. In 2012, to follow this style, an online newspaper, simply entitled StCleve has been set up. According to Anderson, the concept of sequel depicts the protagonist of original album, Gerald Bostock: "I wonder what the eight-year-old Gerald Bostock would be doing today. Would the fabled newspaper still exist? (from Wiki)
This title will be released on April 3, 2012

Rebroadcast: Sat 3/24 6:00 am ET; Sat 3/24 6:00 pm ET; Sun 3/25 10:00 am ET; Sun 3/25 10:00 pm ET

Ron Wood says Rolling Stones headed back to studio
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Rolling Stones are heading back to the studio this month to toss around ideas and try new material, Ronnie Wood said, taking the guitarist away for a time from his first love, painting.
At the opening of his new art show, 'Faces, Time and Places,' in New York City on Monday, Wood was far more focused on his art work than the Stones' plans to celebrate the band's 50 years in music. But he did allow that he and his bandmates were "kicking at the heels" to record again.
"We're going to get together to have a rehearsal and see what happens," Wood told Reuters about the plan to record.

A note from Earle Bailey!

Some Autumn exercise this Sunday the 7th I will do a 2 hour “ Deep Tracks Walking Head Trip” . “Walk” is the key concept at 4pm ET, 1pm PT. We’ll be walking the dog a mile in my shoes to New Orleans, into Clarksdale, and on gilded splinters. We’ll walk the line like a man, a panther, and on the water. Starring the likes of Arlo Guthrie to King Crimson, Hot Tuna to the Rooftop Singers, Joe Walsh to Joe South, John Fogerty to Johnny Cash.

How do you obtain these messages? Are you on a mailing list? I'd like to receive them too because the Deep Tracks page never shows them.

Thanks,

Keith Emerson Head Trip

Keith is back with master guitarist Marc Bonilla (and the rest of the Keith Emerson Band) and the awesome conductor of the Munich Radio Orchestra... Terje Mikkelson - new material but mostly ELP (i.e., Keith Emerson) classics with a twist: full symphony orchestra PLUS keyboards, bass, lead guitar & drums. Tarkus has never sounded so great - the dynamics and orchestration are exceptional; likewise, the "Endless Enigma". Marc Bonilla really shines with this new arrangement of "American Matador" and two lovely new pieces ("Walking Distance" and "The Mourning Sun"). Keith also has a very moving new piece - "After All Of This" - that, to my ears, sounds a bit better arranged for orchestra than does the "bonus" solo piano arrangement; not to take away from the latter... it's lovely - it's just that the symphonic version sounds more complete and emotionally stirring. Emerson is much like Liszt - more appreciated in his time for his extraordinary performance skills than for his equally exquisite compositions and arrangements... a shame, as he will - eventually - be remembered as a truly great modern composer and arranger.
