Anouk

Genre: pop rock, AC

Discovered: CMJ?

Other: Huge in The Netherlands. Of her 12 albums, only one didn't hit #1 there... and that's the one I like best: from start to finish (it's her hardest rockin' one). Three of the songs below are from it.

1. Everything
2. Margarita Chum
3. Fading
4. Who Cares
5. If I Go

Anthrax

Genre: metal

Discovered: MTV (video for "Antisocial")

Other: I didn't like much the original Belladonna-fronted Anthrax ('84-'90), except for a few of their goofy/fun songs). Too thrashy and "80s metal voice"-y! I prefer the John Bush-fronted Anthrax ('93-'03). Their first album with John, Sound Of White Noise, is one of my fav metal albums of all time. There are, however, a few songs from the second era of Belladonna ('11-present) I definitely like though.

HIGH FIVE:

1. Bring The Noise (w/ Public Enemy) [BELLADONNA]
2. Only [BUSH]
3. Poison My Eyes [BUSH]
4. I'm The Man [BELLADONNA]
5. This Is Not An Exit [BUSH]

2. Leave Me Alone
3. Headscrew
4. Skin Shed
5. Lonely

How can you talk about the B-52's without mentioning "Rock Lobster"?
Mama always said, if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.
