Yeah '95 was a big drop off, and it never recovers. All of the years after '94 are small compared to most of the 80s and early 90s.

BUT... '95 has more than '85. I was quite surprised at how small '85, '86 and '88 are, especially in relation to '83 and '89.

This doesn't include 500+ and 700+ songs, but it's somewhat related to what we're talking about:

Songs on my 333 from 1977-1998: 280 (22 years)
Songs on my 333 from 1999-2020: 27 (22 years)

Love the band, hate the song. And it's such a Debbie Downer song all-around (lyrically and musically), it's an instant channel-changer for me.

Yep. Or, technically, a no hit wonder, seeing it only charted on the Modern Rock Chart. But yeah it's the only song they're known for. I listened to a few more of their songs years later and nothing grabbed me. So they're a one-hit wonder in my playbook.

I have heard it somewhere. But until I actually played the video, I did not recognize the song by name. Not sure I actually recognize it still but I have heard it before somewhere.
