I just now subcribed to XM online mainly for the on-demand. I already listened to a Sammy Hager DJ-ing and love that Shooter Jennings No Fences (XM 60/Outlaw Country - 6pm Saturdays) show is on-demand. Shooter has a great show and you never know what he will play. :agree:

I currently have this FM transmtter with an adapter to plug in the house.

In the future, I may consider buying the Whole House Transmitter from TSS.

I'll bet you'll enjoy the Jimmy Buffett concerts- usually add a new one every 2-3 weeks. Nice for partys :boozin:

Well Trunk isn't on there yet....and he's said numerous times that it's up to them, not him. I wonder if they like to keep his show on a lower profile (no replays, and they replay everything else, putting it on during MNF, making him switch stations to one where he doesn't really fit format with no advance warning so it couldn't be promoted, etc) because he isn't exclusive to satellite. Seems like someone there doesn't like him or the show.

It's all possible. It may "be up to them" to accept his offer for how much cash he wants for it. We will probably never know. They may also just be tragically slow or saving some shows for the next tier of 2.0/On Demand roll out. I'm just spit balling here.

I get off at 11, so I can hear most of the show if I want to within the 5 hour start now window, but sometimes I have better things to do. Sure would like to listen in pieces at my leisure during the week.

Doing some work stuff from home right now and currently enjoying this. Good tid-bits James gives with some of the songs.

I find myself listening to Basketball and Beyond With Coach K on the On-Demand. He is a very good interviewer and does not throw softballs up there either.

For the first time, I have used the AUX input in my Delphi Premium BoomBox. Hooked it up to my computer and it works great!

After trying On Demand for a free days, a few questions.

I was looking at downloading some Stern Shows on demand. I was looking specifically to download a few of the shows from October. I was disappointed to find out there is not an entire archive of shows, rather roughly the last month or so of shows.

Also, say I downloaded a show from November. I don't get around to listening to it until January...well by that time the show has expired.

Due to the above, I still see my Stiletto 2 as the better choice when recording shows. I think SiriusXM has taken the right step in their On Demand service as that's what the average consumer wants now-shows to download On Demand. The problems I see with the service is the expiration dates (I don't know the reason for expiration dates -but if they must be utilized, they should at least be for 6 months, after a download. They should simply not just expire on certain dates).

Also the lack of a deeper archive hurts the service. I would prefer at least the last 6 months of any specific program. Limiting these archives to just the last 6 weeks or so is not acceptable.

I would like to know others thoughts on these issues and why some of these limitations are in place.

Todd, if you go back and read this entire thread, you'll find we've been asking those same questions for months now. I've tried to get similar answers through SXM with very little luck. You can try to voice your opinions here: and

I believe the main problem is that SXM is mostly an automated system now with very few actual people 'running the ship'. To get the the proper department or person to address an issue is not impossible, but very difficult.

I understand the time limit for dl's but would like it to be a longer too. I can't imagine them going for a full 6 months though. The radios would get filled up in no time. Unless you're talking about them keeping shows on their servers longer. That would make more sense to me.

What I am hoping for sooner than later is an expanded line up of on demand programming. More music selections too, especially downloadable.

The service continues to grow, I hope we'll see more soon.
