I am very proud to announce that, with the addition of XM Radio Online support, SiriusStreamer is now known as SiriusXMStreamer!

In addition to XM Radio support, a number of new features have been added to the application. Perhaps most notable is the addition of the new built-in media player with title updates!

Please visit the website (SiriusXMStreamer - Sirius|XM Internet Radio Stream Proxy) or use the "Check for updates" feature of the application to try out the new version.

As always, your feedback and suggestions are welcomed.

I just installed it and will try it a bit later. The issue I have with stream_on is that it has been cutting in and out lately. I hope this doesn't have the same issue.

Has anyone been able to get a playlist to work properly under Windows 7 Media Center (7MC)?

My ASX files get listed under "Slide Shows with Music" within the playlist section. When I attempt to play them, they only play the 1st track.

As far as I can tell, this is a bug in Windows 7 Media Center. I get the same result as far as it showing up as a Slide Show with Music, but I'm able to play every channel except the last one.

I posted some reference links to the results of my research trying to figure this out in a previous thread. Based on what I found, it sounds like the Media Center team never intended for streaming playlists to work, and it's pure luck that you get the functionality that you do. One of the inexplicable responses from Microsoft on the subject of a streaming playlist causing MC to crash was that it was "by design"...
My previous post on the subject can be found here: http://www.digitalradiocentral.com/sir-xmro-internet-radio/8155-siriusstreamer-v1-0-beta-release-usirius-replacement-12.html#post138714

Hey Endless,

Thanks for your previous response.

I installed the new version tonight and later rebooted my computer. None of my settings were saved...such as username, password and port. Thought you should know.

I found a partial workaround to this tonight...

Click on the playlist in media Center. The popup page will come up. Click Right to go to the "music" page". This will display all of the individual tracks. Select the one that you want and click "play song".

At least this method will allow you to select an individual Sirius channel to play.

There is a further bug, unfortunately, that I can only scroll to a certain point in the list and Media Center hangs.

I am really disappointed that they broke playlists for streaming media in 7MC.

That shouldn't happen. Try right-clicking the shortcut and choosing "Run as Administrator", then save your settings. That should hopefully resolve the issue.

That solved the problem. I think there is a way that the app can request admin permissions and thus cause a UAC popup. It is not obvious that the settings are not saved.

It's supposed to tell you if you need admin permissions upon saving. I must have broken that in this last build... oops.

You guys may be way ahead of me on this one, but I was using Winamp to open the playlist. That way, I could add channels as favorites. Worked like a charm.

Most of us that are concerned with Media Center are spoiled with the ability to kick back and control this with our remotes in our living rooms, bedrooms, etc. That's why we insist on finding ways to make it work in WMC.

By the way, nice work... I just installed it... especially like being able to turn off "confirm exit" and the built-in player. No need for playon anymore.

Ah man, guess what dude? Remember my old extender problem? It's baaaaaaaaack with this new iteration. I tried the "change to mms / apply / change back to asx / apply" trick too. Extender freezes just like the old versions did before you fixed it.

Dammit, I already uninstalled it before getting a capture of the diagnostic level log. I'll do it again in a day or two.

But I didn't change that behavior. Do you have HTTP and ASX selected on the configuration tab?

Yes I did... since it was late last night I just tried re-checking and restarting the extender a couple of times then put 1.19 back on and it worked again.

That last part with "User-Agent: Windows-Media-Player/11.0.5721.5268" never happens with the new program.

Help with Foobar2000 again

Hi TheEndless:

I am using version 1.5 now with foobar2000 1.0b6 and foo_upnp .99.19.1 so this represents the latest releases of each. I am streaming to SMCWAA-G Network Media Players.

My Sirius channels work only if I create a separate playlist for each channel in the following format:

<asx version="3.0">
<title>
Sirius Internet Radio
</title>
<entry>
<title>
Sirius 17 - Jam_ON
</title>
<ref href="mms://127.0.0.1:51710/sirius?channel=17" />
</entry>
</asx>

I tried creating playlists with more than one channel but they do not work.

So I have to select the playlist and wait. Then the channel appears and I select the channel and wait for it to connect. Sometimes I get a Track Disconnected but if I try repeatedly it usually works.

Here is a log file in Diagnostic Mode. I clear it before selecting the playlist and the channel. There are many "Invalid method" and "Invalid request" messages.

Can you advise what is happening and if I can make some changes?

Just taking a stab at it because I am not familiar with your hardware, but try changing the published URL from 127.0.0.1 to the actual IP (which you should have set as a static IP) of the computer running SiriusXMStreamer. If that doesn't work, have you tried the different combinations of HTTP/MMS and ASX/M3U?

Feed Time Limit

I noticed that every time I connect to a Sirius or XM feed I get a time limit of 1:45:32. Once I reach that time, the feed will move on to the next channel in the feed. I've tried messing with the settings but regardless I always get that limit.
