SiriusXM Selects AT&T to Connect Nissan Vehicles in North America
DALLAS, July 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T*, the leader in emerging telecommunications services, today announced an agreement with Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) to provide mobile connectivity to support a suite of security and additional services for Nissan automobiles in North America.

SiriusXM's in-vehicle telematics solution will provide Nissan vehicle owners 24/7 emergency support for accidents, stolen vehicle tracking and roadside assistance, along with a host of additional services to be announced at a later date.

SiriusXM will use the combination of satellite and cellular networks to expand features for customers. This combination of networks will allow SiriusXM to take advantage of both one-to-many and one-to-one network connectivity.

I am an AT&T customer, considering looking at a Versa. If it's not possible to get all this without Sirius I may have to look at other brands.

What a surprise. AT&T is the same company that Sirius worked out a comprise with last year allowing AT&T to use spectrum that for years Sirius wouldn't allow AT&T to use because it bled into Sirius's spectrum.

Sirius and AT&T scratching each others backs. Hummmm.

When xm went away I had no reason to stick around. You think I want to pay for a service that removed all my favorite formats and then replaced them with inferior alternatives?
