SiriusXM Town Hall With Ringo Starr Contest

Since beginning his career with The Beatles in the 1960s, Ringo Starr has been one of the world's brightest musical luminaries. He has enjoyed a successful and dynamic solo career as a singer, songwriter and drummer, an active musical collaborator, and as an actor. His warmth and humor, and his exceptional musicianship, have given us songs we all know and love, including "With A Little Help From My Friends," "Octopus' Garden," "Photograph," "It Don't Come Easy" and many more. Drawing inspiration from classic blues, soul, country, honky-tonk and rock 'n' roll, Ringo continues to play an important role in modern music with his solo recording and touring.

Now, to celebrate the release of his new album, Ringo 2012, SiriusXM wants to give YOU the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak live and in person with Ringo Starr! You’ll have the chance to ask him a question at this exclusive “Town Hall” event for SiriusXM subscribers on January 30, 2012 in Los Angeles. A select group of Ringo’s biggest and most knowledgeable fans will have the opportunity to be part of the intimate studio audience at this event, which will include a very special live performance by Ringo and his band plus a meet-and-greet with Ringo!

To qualify, we’re asking SiriusXM subscribers to submit their most creative and insightful questions about Ringo Starr and his legendary career, for the chance to ask their question in person at the Town Hall event. We’ll choose twenty (20) of the best questions and invite those people, along with one guest, to the SiriusXM Town Hall event in Los Angeles where they will be face to face with Ringo to ask their question LIVE during this very special event on January 30th (see Official Rules for details).

Each of the twenty (20) winners and their guests will also receive a copy of Ringo Starr’s new album, Ringo 2012, on both CD and vinyl.

Ringo 2012, Ringo Starr’s 17th solo studio album and his second on Hip-O Records/UMe, will be released on January 31, 2012 in the U.S. Produced by Ringo, the album was recorded in Los Angeles and features nine songs – including covers of Buddy Holly’s “Think It Over” and Lonnie Donegan’s “Rock Island Line” plus two new versions of his own songs, “Wings” and “Step Lightly.” Special guests on the album include Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart, Edgar Winter, Charlie Haden, Van Dyke Parks and Don Was.
