I picked up what I beleive silver and black worked ok now it seems to have a over heating problem it works for about 5 min then stops and displays aquiring signal if I put it in front of ac in car it will start again . anyone have any idea about this problem and how to repair tnx for any help

Older Starmates can display this message when the radio is running too hot and the interior components have started to degrade. It's usually a matter of replacing the radio. Give us a call at TSS Radio and we can help figure out what the problem is.
