For as much at I despise the HOF, this is always a good show.

    I enjoyed it.

Cheap Trick - Four guys, and three chords.

I knew they would edit out the Steve Miller outburst. Chickenshits.

As I posted earlier, his rant was in front of the press, not on stage. I'm also not sure when that happened chronologically over the course of the evening. You can find it on the videos I posted.

If I can go on a little rant here, I like Cheap Trick, but they basically did all their hits right there on stage. But the Moody Blues, Yes, Jethro Tull, The Cars, and The Doobie Brothers are all classic bands with dozens of hits covering years or decades. So WTF?

It's the HOF, so WTF is what they represent, and why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is dead to me.

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but that's not what I consider their best representation.

    I still dig it though.
I like bands that try different stuff.

I saw them on their 90125 tour and I also bought Big Generator, which does have an interestingly different sound. But if I picked one song to represent them, it would be from an early album.

The orchestra hit nullifies all of their previous work.

That's like saying toe clips nullify previous bicycles.

Toe clips? Does that have anything to do with shrimping?

There aren't too many bands that didn't make a wrong turn at some point. Chicago, Styx, Frampton, Billy Squire, Billy Joel, Robert Plant, Liz Phair; the list is endless.

The fact that Joan Baez and Yes got inducted in the same year as Tupac and Pearl Jam proves how anachronistic the whole thing is.

I hope Journey can get Steve Perry to sing this song with them at their induction
