I just started a free 30 trial to Amazon Music, and I'm looking for some album suggestions I need to listen to.

I've already completed the Beatles and Led Zeppelin catalog years ago. The Dark Side of the Moon & The Wall I've listened to multiple times.

I'm looking for whole albums that would be great to listen to in a single sitting

I would check out the Music Album Madness we did couple of months ago. There were a lot of great suggestions in that tournament. Drc Madness #13

Are we suggesting that the madness served a purpose?

  12. semipenguin

    semipenguin Bum Looker

    Maybe your purpose.

The group is severely lacking of really good albums by women or female lead singers.

I listened to London Calling yesterday. An excellent album. A punk standard.

But I also listened to this…

    Pretenders (album) - Wikipedia

    Even better, imho

The Album Madness is a populist competition; there's no point in nominating albums that nobody else has either heard of, or will support. My own personal favorite albums list includes many lead females:

    PJ Harvey - Dry
Courtney Barnett - Sometimes I Sit and Think, Sometimes I Just Sit
    Juliana Hatfield - Only Everything
    Brandi Carlile - The Story
Aimee Mann - I'm With Stupid (that may have been in the madness)
Amy Winehouse - Back to Black
    Elastica - Elastica
Florence + the Machine - Lungs
Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark
Letters to Cleo - Aurora Gory Alice
Liz Phair - Exile in Guyville
    Metric - Fantasies
    Phantogram - Voices
    Patty Griffin - Flaming Red
    Salt - Auscultate
Tracy Bonham - The Burdens of Being Upright
    Belly - Star
    Suzanne Vega - 99.9F(degrees)

I can go on and on, but that should get you started.

The Pretenders album is great, I have it on "voinal".

Yet strangely you ask us for advise. Isn't the definition of insanity knowing you will get an unfavourable outcome from past experience and doing it again?

Any album by Pat Benatar is good.
Any album by Fleetwood Mac is good.
Any abum by Heart prior to 1981 is good.
