Tigers fans, you might want to send a thank you card to Ron Washington for jacking up the All Star game & letting the NL have home field advantage in the WS :)

Dear Ron Washington,
Thanks for jacking things up at the All Star game. You couldn't have known how much we appreciate it.

Regards,
Hectic

World Series starts tonight. From what I can tell, these two teams have never met in the WS.

San Francisco has six championships while Detroit has four.

Both are original major league teams with the Tigers having played their entire history in Detroit, while the Giants started in New York, but moved to San Francisco in 1957.

NL has home field advantage.

I'm picking the Giants in seven...

I will say Tigers in 6. Tigers are rested. Giants have just played 5 + 7 games. Tigers played 5 + 4 games.

Besides if the Tigers lose, Hectic has to buy everybody drinks. He does if they win too so I guess the result doesn't really matter.
