The return button makes the keyboard disappear

So I'm typing on my phone (Android 10) and I but the blue button to do an enter/return function.

Like this...and the keyboard disappears and I have to tap in the text entry box to bring it back up.

Wait a minute! I was getting that too! I thought it was my phone.

When I hit the back key to delete characters, it does it too.

I can hit delete without issues.

It's just the enter key.

Common sense would say if it was your phone, it'd be on other sites, right?

Are you using Chrome or what?
I'm not able to repeat the issue on my Note.

When I quote a post, and want to pare it down to a specific sentence, I do a lot of backspacing. I generally don't do that anywhere else. Not on Facebook, or in texts, so I don't have a reference to compare it to. I have an android phone.

I'm getting it too with Chrome on my android. When I hit backspace the keyboard goes away and I have to click the body of the text for it to pop up again.

I was checking to see if the problem was in Tapatalk or some other browser. I haven't seen that problem in Chrome on my Android phone.
I'll keep my eyes open to see if I can reproduce it.

This is Chrome, Android, mobile view.

It's the newest version of everything and only on this site, AFAIK.

I’ll keep trying to reproduce it on my phone.
There shouldn’t be any settings on our end that wound effect that, so it may be a glitch with XenForo.

I noticed that when I quoted text (such as replying to someone's post), and then tried to edit down the text, the keyboard would disappear every time I backspaced. But when I was composing a post, I could backspace the text I just typed, and the keyboard wouldn't disappear.

I still can't get it to happen using Chrome.

Well, it seems to work now.


But I've also updated to Android 11, if that means anything.
