Since football is finally over real football will begin next month. :p

This Saturday, I will see a pre-season match between the Phoenix Rising FC vs the New York Red Bulls. Which team will be having wings?

Tonight my two soccer teams went at it in a preseason match. The Phoenix Rising FC vs the Houston Dynamo as Dynamo won 1-0.

This was a wild and crazy plenty kick by the Rising player. But unfortunately, the ball didn’t go in, even though it did look like it did off the post. But the goalie did quite a few great saves.

Last night Phoenix Rising FC game was really good specially in the 2nd half.

Phoenix scored first at the 65'
Then Swope Park tied it at 70' and scored again at the 88'
But Phoenix tied it right at the 90' mark

It was the 3rd straight sellout of the season for Rising FC.

There something in the water for when Didier Drogba took a sip and the force was with them last night when Rising FC came back and won 4-3. The club set a personal attendance record.

For those who are into soccer. It might be a future step to finally having a proper pyramid system here in the states, similar to the one in the European leagues. But without the teams moving up and down the ladder system.

USL Unveils New Structure: One Central Brand, Three Leagues, Evolving for the Future

USL -> USL Championship
USL D3 -> USL League One
PDL -> USL League Two

They said maybe in a few years they could introduce a pro league. But first they want a good World Cup team and bring the championship home.

The fans were going crazy last night as Phoenix Rising won 3-0 and advances to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Plus they broke the all-time attendance record last night and the stadium holds 6,200.

Before the game, the organization rolled out the red carpet for the team.

Here a view from the Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Last night Phoenix Rising FC was competing in the the USL Cup against Louisville City. The game was airing on ESPN 2 and it was Didier Drogba last match, hopefully going out as a champion. But Rising come up short last night as they lost 1-0.

Even though the official f'ed on some major plays, especially one towards the end. Where a Lou City player caused a plenty in the box, where Rising should had a free plenty kick and the ref didn't even do anything and let the game move on.

I'm still proud of Rising FC as they had a wonderful season and I'm already looking forward towards next season. They are still champs to me and rest of the loyal fans. Now hopefully MLS was watching and can award Phoenix an franchise position and they can move up within couple of years.

Last night I attended the 2019 Phoenix Rising kit revealed party and the crowd was crazy.

The black and copper jersey has the western state outline of Arizona part of the jersey.
