"The Partridge Family Starring Shirley Jones ft. David Cassidy." Who came up with that billing? On the 1970-74 ABC television series, the Partridge Family was Shirley Jones, David Cassidy, Susan Dey, Danny Bonaduce, Suzanne Crough and Jeremy Gelbwaks. On their recordings, the Partridge Family was Shirley Jones, David Cassidy, Tom Bahler, his brother John Bahler (who is married to Janet Lennon of the Lennon Sisters), Ron Hicklin and Jackie Ward. Jackie, born Jacqueline Eloise McDonnell, had a #14 hit in December 1963 with Wonderful Summer, released under the name Robin Ward. 67. Melanie with the Edwin Hawkins Singers - Lay Down (Candles in the Rain): This live interview/performance from the Netherlands is a hoot. It's better than the recording; but moreover, the interview is kind-of comical, and the audience is just bizarre to see. Check it out
