It seems we are not all going to die – at least not right away. The majority of people who contract the 2019-nCoV virus get over it just fine but people worldwide are panicking. They're buying face masks (which are useless against the virus) and they're staying indoors. Even in the United States, many school events are being canceled because of fears the virus will spread. It won't spread if people don't have it. Doy! 保持镇定, 不要惊慌.

Op-Ed: International overreaction to the coronavirus is more dangerous than the virus itself

An eighth case of the coronavirus has been confirmed in the United States – in Boston. The death toll in China is now 259. American Airlines, British Airways, Lion Air, Seoul Air and other carriers have suspended all flights to and from mainland China. Next week, Delta and United will suspend flights to and from China.

People are panicking. I wonder if fears of the coronavirus spreading will lead to the cancellation of tomorrow's Super Bowl. Nah, probably not. Forget I said anything. Don't give it another thought.

It’s over reaction.

There hasn’t been a cancellation of the big prize game for illness since the 1918/19 nhl season when the Stanley cup final was canceled. Both teams had too few healthy players due to the swine flu.

Nobody complained because in 1919 hardly anyone cared about hockey. :p

But I agree: People are unnecessarily panicking and overreacting. The death rate from the 2019-nCoV virus is less than 3%. Apple is the latest business to temporarily shut down in China. Apple is closing its 42 stores and a call center. Considering most of Apple's products are made in China, I can't imagine their stockholders are very happy right now.

CNN is reporting that the coronavirus took the lives of 86 people in China – just today! Eek! Around 34,400 people in 27 countries have the virus and the death toll has reached 720. 我们能做什么?我们都要死了!

The so-called "flu season" begins in late September. In the past four months, influenza has killed 10,000 just in the United States. Eek! The CDC says there are 250,000 to 500,000 influenza-related deaths each year, worldwide. Double eek! Now I'm scared to leave my house!

Would you like me to share one of my hilarious jokes? No? Okay, here it is: I named my parrot Enza. One day I opened the window and in flew Enza.

Good afternoon, everyone. It is I, your friendly neighborhood bearer of bad news. The 2002-03 SARS virus killed 774 people. The death toll from the 2019-nCoV coronavirus has reached 805.......and counting.

Still a blip on the radar and probably not something we would even be tracking had it not been for Chinese overreaction towards it. By your numbers flu has killed 10K over 4 months. Over past month (life of this virus) Flu has killed 2,500 if you assume am even death rate. The 10K number is USA only. The 805 is around the world. So Flu 1, Corona 0. Game over.

Steak dinner last night and I still weighed 202 today.
Treadmill tomorrow since Better Call Saul season 4 is finally going to be on Netflix. I've got a whole season to rewatch before S5 drops on the 23rd.

I wonder how many more LBs I could shed with the aids?
