What sport or sports team do you think of most when you think of a city?

In terms of longevity or popularity, the Astros were in Houston long before anyone else. But it's arguable that the Texans are the most popular team there. I do think of the Astros first because of their history in the city. Boston I think of the Red Sox or Celtics, since the Patriots are located closer to Providence, RI then they are Boston. I've been through Foxboro on a few occasions, and the Patriots are by far the biggest thing there.

Pittsburgh would be the Steelers. At least to them.

Which team of lovable losers does Cleveland hold dear? It seems they have simular fates for all teams stationed in Cleveland.

San fran probably goes

Niners
Giants
Sharks
As a 49er fan, I have to say, that up until last season, it would have been Giants, then 49ers.

But now it's all 49ers :)

Really? You think the Panthers are they far down? Didn't they win a Stanley Cup? :scatch:

Panthers never won the cup but the Lighting has, but I don't follow those teams. I follow AFL more so this could be my new order:

Miami Dolphins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Miami Heat
Orlando Magic
Miami Marlins
Orlando Predators
Tampa Bay Storm
Tampa Bay Rays
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tampa Bay Lightning
Florida Panthers

I thought that was the championship series where the fans kept throwing the squid on the ice?

yeah the Lightning won the year before the strike. Great series too.

The Panthers are one of those teams that I completely forget exists if I'm doing a mental recall of all the divisions.

Kinda like the Milwaukee Bucks.....or the Clippers up until a few years ago.
Yeah, there's always that one team you forget is there. I always forgot about the Seahawks when they were in the AFC West, until they weren't.
