I recently got a new compact car and can not figure our the best place to put my Starmate 2.0.

Currently it is temporarily sitting on its side in a little rectangle storage box, in the center console, next to the parking brake. The box appears to be for toll change or something similar. I can't see the screen while driving though and must find a better location.

The dashboard seems to prominent and just asking for theivery so I am stumped.

I am open to any and all suggestions for Starmate placement in compact cars -- especially if you own a Nissan Versa.

    Thanks for reading.

I've got my Starmate 5 mounted to one of the air conditioner vents.
    It's worked well for me.

Do you keep it there all the time Aaron or remove it when you park the car?
How is it attached? Did you use this? http://www.tss-radio.com/products/universal-vent-mount

Yes, something very similar to that. I believe it came with the unit when I bought it.

I leave the Starmate there in the car at all times, except for rare occasion when I park in an unfamiliar part of the city

When I still had my Jeep, I stuck mine right in the cupholder in the center console.
