But the fans are clamoring for it.

Miserable Men is unlistenable. Almost as bad as Superfan Roundtable.

I haven't listened to the show for several weeks. Yesterday I turned it on to hear the tradeo calls and the teaser for this contest. That is when I turned it off. I don't think I'll be tuning in again for another few weeks.

The way that guy says "clit"'s a word I generally try to stay away from in the first place because of the creepiness factor involved. But hearing Lou say it, he manages to make it sound even more disturbing. "Rub that clit, come on."

Definitely more lazy booking, we're at the point where they don't even consider what the fans want at all anymore.

My condolences, guys. I haven't listened since Christmas and looked at the guest list after reading this thread.

Holy crap! What a lame lineup this week.

Rob Schneider promoting a straight-to-dvd release of his lame movie.
Kurt Angle and Elephant Boy. 'nuff said. Kurt has apparently been accepted into the Wack Pack.
Iliza Shlesinger, winner of last comic standing. What a get! I didn't even know that show was still on.
Lou Bellera and the sybian stanks.
And of course "veteran comedian" Thea Vidale.

Thanks for that judging of the book cover...

Rob was really funny and his movie Big Stan just arrived for me from Netflix. I'm sure you guys have dozens of funnier movies just waiting to be watched.

Kurt's poem and professing his love for Robin was an awesome segment, if you don't have deep-seated Robin issues. Elephant Boy was good as always.

Iliza wasn't bad. She was fun and played along.

Just because someone doesn't pop wood from a sybian ride doesn't mean its lame. The interaction was funny and so was Artie's ballbusting. It's also LIVE, you don't have the luxury of editing or reshooting. It maybe wasn't a bullseye, but it didn't completely miss the target.

I haven't heard Thea yet, but I heard she is rather funny after the coughing spell. Plus, we can thank Thea for the Robin in the Green Room game.

IMO, a lot of the attitudes about the show come down to people's optimistic/pessimistic nature to begin with...

yup everyone seemed to miss the point of the sybian contest. LOL That actually makes it funnier...

The sybian was a dumb idea from day one, all the girls fake it anyway.

Monkey, I mean Gary always says when someone calls on the WUS that he does not even call people to try and book them anymore. On the "other show" this week Ray Liotta was on and was pretty good segment and I can't beleive that monkey did not know he was around promoting the new movie he was in. Monkey says that he passes on alot of guests with the excuse of them not being relevant or they just don't think they would be good on the show. Thea Vidale had a sitcom that lasted for 2wks on ABC back in 1995. That Monkey really knows what 's relevent these days, I suspect that alot of guests actually turn the show down now and they don't want to admit it. Just my 2 cents.

The Schneider interview didn't get going until someone from San Francisco, Lee I think, called in to ask about old SNL cast members. It turned out to be a good interview. The same sort of thing happened with the Kurt Angle segment, it didn't get really good until the poem reading. All of the ball busting on Robin after that was classic.

I didn't care for the skanks and the guido segment, but once they took negative feedback calls the segment was saved. Iliza's segment was decent, but short on laughs for someone that won a contest for being the last comic standing.

If you haven't listened since Christmas, some show dates to look for where the show was excellent that day include: January 13, 14, 20 and February 5, 9 and March 9 and 18th.

the show has been awesome since christmas. if you want to try and judge it by a few of the things that people on here complain about, then it's your loss. I didn't care for some of the things listed in this thread either, but I would have missed a whole lot of great radio if I would have let that make me turn the station. I just skip over the boring stuff and enjoy the rest.

I can't stand sybian rides or annoying strippers/Miss HTV/Porn Stars. Those are never interesting to me. You should never pre-judge guest interviews though. You never know who is going to be great and who will be boring.

That was the whole bit right? The girls getting off on the sybian? There wasn't ANYTHING else at all?
