Westworld season 2 in April!!! That's huge news. Makes having to wait until 2019 for GoT way more bearable.

The final season of GoT will premiere in 2019, not this year. I know it sucks.

Dundee: The Son Comes Home? I'm hearing reports that this is a sneak peeks until the real trailer comes out possible in the Super Bowl. It a set up to promote something else during the Super Bowl commercials.

Yep it was a set up to promote something.

Agreed, but I thought they were kinda funny. Give enough people on social media to say something and it will probably be a movie appearing on Netflix or somewhere.

Still no scene from Thanos using the moon to hit somebody. That scene was leaked out of comic-con.

Tonight I saw Carl Theodore Dryer's "The Passion of Joan of Arc". This film was first released in 1929, but we don't have a 1929 Movies thread, so sue me.

Wow. It's the trial and execution of Joan of Arc told almost entirely through silent closeups. Extreme, giant head, high res, every wrinkle crease and blemish closeups. Beautiful photography. Ballsy direction. I expected to be bored but I was emotionally engaged from the first frame.

Also, I had a free popcorn, $2 off Buffalo wings, several pints of Art Car, and a lively discussion after the film. I learned this film was made only a few years after Joan was canonized, and there's a longer version of the film with more gruesome shots of her burning corpse.
