I loved his range.
57 years ago today, the day the music died.
How have I never featured a Buddy Holly song?
Oooohhhh weeeee oooooh, it's just like Buddy Holly.
Has it ever been covered?
I think most of his popular songs have all been covered
You try getting your song to be a classic rock staple with no electric guitars....
(besides the bass)
Another good song with Rush Limbaugh connections..
SiriusXM Catch of the Day | Page 10 | Digital Radio Central
I always liked the song and the classic bass line.
"My City Was Gone"
My City Was Gone is an awesome song.
Learning to Crawl is a great album.
It was my first & only Pretenders album. Very good stuff
I don't know a lot about the band "Real Life" except that they're Australian, and I like this song.
"Send Me an Angel"
I know it's not, but every time I hear that song, I think it's Ultravox. Half way through it hits me.
I don't remember the song when it came out in 1983. I never heard it until I went hunting for new music in 1990. I found the CD The Best of Real Life: Send Me An Angel.
I remember Catch Me I'm Falling. Not the Pretty Poison song, Catch Me (I'm Falling)
As semipenguin would say... JFF
Besides... who doesn't want money, lots and lots of money?
"I Wanna Be Rich"
Aaron won the Powerball tonight!
Great song, Aaron!
Okay, so I'm not cutting edge like scotchandcigar's music thread. All my songs are somewhat (or a lot) vintage.
154 songs in, and I've got NOTHING from the 2000's... until now. And this one's over a decade old already.
Great song with good lyrics. And it's good to have a mix of classic music threads to go with the cutting edge stuff. My personal collection goes back to the 60's, so it's all good.
I like this one and Somebody Told Me.
I hope they do some more edgier stuff like Somebody again.
They do a good job with that kind of thing.
Brandon Flowers originally wrote the song for Elmer Fudd's comeback tour, but nobody could understand the lyrics
They were all my friends, and they died
The Jim Carroll Band
"People Who Died"
A good song about death.
Catchy as hell too.
