For standard winter-wear, I just wear jeans with heavy socks and winter shoes. I often wear a t-shirt with a long-sleeve shirt over, which I can button or unbutton. And then a coat for outside. I have like 4 levels of coats, from light jackets to my Columbia ski jacket. We just did a walk with the dogs, and I added my ski gloves and ski hat and scarf. I also have the jacket hood. For just being outside, I have lighter gloves. We all had to go with layers and layers of clothing because our coats and stuff are not equipped for this. I got pajama pants under the jeans. I’m wondering what Northerners do.
The teens & 20-somethings wear SHORTS all year round. This mystifies me! It's below freezing with whipping winds and you see 22 year olds walking around in winter hats, gloves, coats and SHORTS. WTFUp here
I have a winter jacket for temps below 0c (32f). I also wear a toque. I just wear jeans on my legs. If my core and my head is warm, my legs don't bother me. I have gloves but only would wear them if outside a long time.We all had to go with layers and layers of clothing because our coats and stuff are not equipped for this. I got pajama pants under the jeans. I’m wondering what Northerners do.
My son switched from shorts to long pants for the vortex but he is shorts for most of the winter. The teens & 20-somethings wear SHORTS all year round. This mystifies me! It's below freezing with whipping winds and you see 22 year olds walking around in winter hats, gloves, coats and SHORTS. WTF
Would love to go sledding or something but don’t really have anything to use. I see people using regular shovels to clean the driveway. And there is a snowman (snow person?) in most peoples yards.
Oh Boo Fuckin' Hoo!It's 54° outside right now and that's the point where it gets a bit uncomfortable for me to wear my usual khaki shorts and Polo. And if I stay outside for a while it's legit cold for me.

They have now confirmed 26cm of snow (10-11").We just got our first really good snow dump in several years. Over 20 cm (8") since yesterday evening. Turning now to freezing drizzle. They actually closed the schools which is rare up here.
Usually happens late January, Mid-February or so. Then by the middle of March it'll be up in the 60's.-8 is insane.
Our Snowmageddon blizzard was 3 weeks ago and it was so flukey I still hear people talking about it most days.
If you haven’t seen someone in a while it’s an easy conversation piece…. hey how did you enjoy the snow?
After 5 days and the snow melted, it got warm and it’s been warm ever since. Some of the plants have started growing again.
