I recently saw a news piece about people getting injured when others' cell phones go flying out of their pockets while on these rides. I'm sure a few phones came flying out on that upside-down ride. One more reason I don't do those rides anymore.
The first is, they just make me feel nauseous.
Years ago, when I still had my trusty flip phone. my son convinced me to go on a ride which is simular to the boat rides which swing back and forth up to 90 degrees. This one continued and did a couple of spins all the way around. So we were going upside down and there in front of my eye is my flip phone having come out of my pocket where I thought it was secure. I think this was the oscillation before they went all the way around so we were in the process of reversing direction. Because this created the relative position of the phone floating in mid-air for enough time (a couple of seconds) for me to grab it. I don't understand the physics or whether my reflexes were unusually fast or time slowed down but I was able to successfully grab it out of the air and hold onto it the rest of the ride. Now all my stuff goes in my backpack when I do a weird ride.I recently saw a news piece about people getting injured when others' cell phones go flying out of their pockets while on these rides. Ride passengers rescued after dangling upside down, 75 feet up, for half an hour.
I think it was Marineland. Much closer to Niagra Falls. Wonderland is north of Toronto which would have been a really long drive. Wonderland usually builds a new super ride each year. It is not run down. It is very pricey. There are no animals. Marineland has got into a lot of trouble with regards to their treatment of their animals. They are not very well respected.I watch a lot of Disney and other theme park videos and I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that Canada's Wonderland is kinda run down and not what it used to be. So this is fitting.
I may be mixing up parks but I think my parents took me there as a kid. It was during our trip to Niagara Falls. I remember they had this one really long roller coaster. They also had this pen with a ton of deer in it that you could enter and feed them. I remember my mom being in a wheelchair was immediately engulfed by deer when she went in with deer food in her hand. Since she was low to the ground the second she went in she disappeared in a sea of deer, hahaha.
EDIT: never mind, it wasn't Wonderland. A quick search reveals it was probably Marineland. But I was like 14 so who knows.
So your mom was surrounded by Marines?EDIT: never mind, it wasn't Wonderland. A quick search reveals it was probably Marineland.
