I heard about this on our local newsmagazine show last night. They do a segment where a couple of Bull Moose Records guys talk about new and weird stuff. They mentioned this early Joe Pesci album from 1968: Little Joe Sure Can Sing!

Kathie Lee Gifford released a terrible children's album called Party Animals, but good luck finding any audio clips. I heard a clip of Stern playing a couple of the songs and owch.

Here she is being a pop star in 2000. Not great, but she seems to be able to sing here.

The first band I ever saw in a club originally named themselves The Traci Lords. She threatened to sue, so they changed their name to Lord Tracy. I guess even back in 1989, Lords knew she was going to be a pop superstar. Well, at least she thought she was gonna be....

Tony "Sinatra" Danza

Stern (9/27/2002) is playing clips of Tony Danza's album of old big band covers.

I can't find any audio of the studio recordings on YouTube, but here's the artwork for the "rush" advance single

Here he is promoting the album on Regis by singing a couple songs live

Did anyone say Richard Harris with MacArthur Park? It’s an iconic song, but always considered it a parody song.

Bradley Cooper seemed to do a good job on A Star Is Born.

Jimmy Webb, who wrote MacArthur Park and many other hits including Galveston, Didn't We, All I Know, Up Up & Away, Wichita Lineman, The Yard Went On Forever and The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress, never forgave Richard Harris for changing "MacArthur Park" to "MacArthur's Park." The song reached #2 on the Hot 100 in July 1968, behind Herb Alpert's This Guy's In Love With You.

In November 1967, Webb offered MacArthur Park to the Association, whose hits included Along Comes Mary, Cherish, Windy and Never My Love They were recording songs for a new album (Birthday). Dayton "Bones" Howe, their producer, liked the song but none of the band members liked it, mostly because of its seven-minute length. They claimed they would have to drop two shorter songs to make room for MacArthur Park on the album. Picky, picky, picky! They turned it down.
