I have no problem with the concept. A small percentage will become rich - and good for them. The rest will realize they need a real job, or they'll sponge off their parents - and then they're the parents' problem.
I look at influencers the same way I look at reality tv stars, like Snooki or The Kardashians. I think society would be fine (or even better off) without making these people celebrities.

The "Weekend at Bernie's" guy was dead throughout the movie. How does that compare to Rowan Atkinson/Mr. Bean? I'm not sure what you're getting at, but I suspect Atkinson is a beloved comedy figure in the UK. Like John Cleese or Benny Hill.

Adam Sandler made his name by basically just pretending to be a retarded person and playing it up for comedy and Mr. Bean is kind of the same thing.
