I said last word, but fuck. Leslie West is 245. Terry Kath - not on the list. The best guitarist Jimmy Hendrix ever saw isn't on the list. I'm done.

35 - Eric Clapton (Bluesbreakers/Cream/Blind Faith/Derek & The Dominoes/solo/COVID-19)
96 - Mark Knopfler (Dire Strais/solo)

That's all I need to say. I think both are top 20 if not higher (ignoring politics and stupidity).

Paul Simon should be way higher than 246. Joni Mitchell was an influential great guitar player no doubt, but #9 is too high.
Although I’d still say top 10-15. And too few acoustic artists that I can see. And Stevie Ray Vaughan DROPPED to #20. And Trey Anastasio over Bonnie Raitt?

Prince should be top 10 (Hell, Top 5!), Rodrigo y Gabriela WAY higher! Chet Atkins should be higher!

Teri and I saw Glen Campbell in concert on two occasions. He would hold his guitar above his head and play The William Tell Overture at super-fast speed. He is not on the list. Neither is Roy Clark. Neither is Al Di Meola. I would put Glen and Roy in the top ten. I think our next DRC Madness should be "Best Guitarists."

I’ll add a controversial one whose politics don’t jibe with mine but I still acknowledge his guitar prowess.

Ted Nugent.

Rick’s video is what made me know about the list. I watch most of his videos.
Haha, his attitude really captures how this stupid list makes people feel. I love all the videos of his when I come across them, but I don't follow him on a regular basis. I should.

The only thing I disagreed with on Rick’s video about the 250 is Neil Young. Maybe #30 is high, but listen to Cortez the Killer. Neil can really play.

I agree he belongs on the list, he's got a unique style. Maybe at 200 or so, or he can replace Carrie Brownstein (who I love, but c'mon) or the Ramones, or My Bloody Valentine. All make great music, but they're not guitar-list people.
