Spotify now has 777,000,000 active monthly users and 300,000,000 paid subscribers. Second quarter revenue was €4.8 billion, the equivalent of $5,547,000,000. That is a 14% increase over quarter 2 of 2025. Shares of Spotify closed today at 482.23, a gain of 4.06 (0.85%).

 
I can see why they stopped paying smaller artists They're really hurting for cash over there.

Under Spotify's policy introduced in 2024, individual tracks must reach at least 1,000 streams over the preceding 12 months to generate recorded royalties. Songs with fewer streams are not directly monetized, and the withheld funds are reallocated into the broader general royalty pool for eligible tracks.
