On NFL Radio, some coach was saying they need to get ride of the divisions. I agree with this, to a point.

Get ride of the four divisions per conference. Go with two divisions per.

Too team in each conference gets the bye, then the top four, who do not win their conference, play in the wildcard games.

Eight teams in each division. Seven games played in your division. Three games played in the other division. Three played in the other conference East, and three in the West. One game played against your geographic rival.

That's 17 games.

So the loser of SNF plays the Eagles in the first round next week at the Linc.

I really need 9ers to win tonight. I think we have a much better shot against the beat up Seahawks.

My updated preferences in order since the Steelers did not make it:

1. Seattle
2. Minnesota
3. New Orleans
4. Kansas City
5. Philadelphia
6. Buffalo

7. Tennessee
8. Green Bay
9. Houston
10. Baltimore
11. SF
999999. New England

So I will be cheering for:
Minnesota over SF
Seattle over Green Bay
Tennesee over Baltimore
Kansas City over Houston.

I figure KC should be a lock. Seattle about 50/50. The rest are long shots.

Seattle was the theme song of the 1968-70 tv series Here Come The Brides. Perry Como had a hit with the song in 1969. It begins, "The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle."

Tonight, the bluest football fans you've ever seen are in Seattle. My wife, a Seahawks fan, is also blue. *Sigh*

My NFC teams did poorly. My AFC teams did well.

Minnesota over SF <-- WRONG
Seattle over Green Bay <-- WRONG
Tennesee over Baltimore <-- RIGHT
Kansas City over Houston. <-- RIGHT

This weekend I will cheer for:
Green Bay over SF (although I don't like either team)
Kansas City over Tennessee.

Well I got 1/2. Seem to be much better at predicting the AFC side.

I will go with Kansas City for the superbowl. I can't see SF holding Mahomes down for 4 quarters. And he doesn't seem to be phased by leads.

Eli Manning played on some pretty shitty teams in his career. But 2 teams were pretty good and we can thank them for defeating the evil empire each time. In both cases, the evil empire was supposed to win. As of today, he is retiring. I guess it remains to be seen if those 2 giant killings (excuse the pun) were enough to have him in the HOF. My personal opinion is no. But in 5 years we shall see.

He was originally drafted by a shitty team and I'm so glad he dump their sorry ass and played for a real football team.

Eli Manning will be in the HOF and I still love it today. That the Giants defeated the Patriots twice in the Super Bowl. Especially giving them there 18-0 denied season!

I don't care what anyone says, Eli is one of the greatest GOATs out there that has every played!

Each of their SB wins against the Pats involved a single play where the ball was randomly bouncing around, and landed in their favor. More arbitrary than decisive. But it's ok; it's just a game. Lighten up.
