There hasn't been a very important candle update in a while and I'm sure you've all missed them.

Well to start, I fired up two freshies this morning, orchid breeze scent. It's very exciting.

I do have some rather sad news to report as well. Walmart is cheaping out on the candle department these days. Instead of the old glass tops to the candles they now come with these little crappy pieces of plastic.

Of course this shouldn't matter because I would always throw away the candle tops anyway, but now that they don't have the glass ones anymore I'm upset. So I kept two of the old ones and as I'm writing this I'm realizing I have no reason to keep them except for the fact that I'm mad at Walmart for replacing them with plastic.

And behind those glass candle toppers is my smells like an Eagles win candle Pam got me that is currently on hiatus until September when lighting it will obviously help the Eagles beat the Packers in Brazil to start the season.

So as you all can see, the candle world remains chock full of wild and exciting news.
This is all great stuff, and it's always fun to peek into the Koop lair. But perhaps you should expand your horizons. After all, candles made some people very wealthy. For example, there's the Village Candle guy, who lives on the road we live off of, in what's known as the Highland Farm Estate

Then there's the king of candles, Yankee Candle, who had this monstrosity in western Mass (partly shown here)

There's a whole world of candles to explore.

I'm thinking that as an expert, Koop should go professional and start making his own line of candles.
We can help name the scents too!
There's the next DRC bracket tournament.

I made an impulse buy today at Walmart and bought one of those woodwick candles.

Stupid thing was 16 bucks. That's crazy rich people candle money not the budget Walmart candle money that I'm used to.

It is pretty cool though. Woodwork candles are fucking awesome. How they crackle and make a little noise kind of like a fireplace. Not $16 cool but cool nonetheless.

The thing you're using for a doily

Hahah. I should get real doilies for my candles, that would be classy.

Anyway, I barely use my computer now that I have my fancy new tablet phone. So it's serving a good purpose as a coaster for the fancy candle.

The Stinky Candle Company in Clarendon Hills, Illinois, makes scented candles that smell like gasoline, beer, urine, nacho cheese and several other things that are so disgusting I am not going to mention them.

Yeah I'm happy with my Black Bay. It's nice and all.... But check this out:

It's the coolest woodwick candle I've ever seen. I basically have a in fireplace on my coffee table now. This is amazing. Life is amazing. Everything is fantastic. The world is a great place and life is worth living.
