Which receivers have old strong pre FCC ban pre 2006 FM transmitters? My sportster SP-R2, has one and needs to be replaced. I love the fact that I can tune every radio in my house and walk from my front to backyard and listen with my walkman.

For the love of god and sweet baby jesus. I just read the same exact thread somewhere else.

The search feature is truly a modern miracle.

Check ebay. Otherwise, you're going to have to buy an external FM transmitter.

Ya, I just bought a couple old strong signal sportsters off ebay and I also bought the Eclipse 4000 FM transmitter to boost signal strength 5X, to 500mw.

Most of the old receives, pre 2006 had reall strong transmitters.

The ORIGINAL STARMATE had a super strong transmitter.

So did the VISOR, the one that looked like a radar detector. That thing had a monster FM transmitter. I could leave it in my house and go about 1.5 blocks before I lost the signal.

Drop TSS a line. They may have something hanging around you can buy.
I have the same radio. The flickering display is annoying, however.

Actually I called MobileBlackBox.com - Home and upgraded to an ORION-5000 FM transmitter with an output of 5Watts. Range should be from 1 to 5 miles, now everyone in my neighbourhood is gonna listen to Howard Stern. LOL. HEY NOW, Howard Stern rules, Bababooey to y'all.
