Another fave of mine. Granted it has a tight playlist, but that's to be expected for a modern hits station. I enjoy the mini countdown on weekdays, and really like the Weekend Countdown with Spyder Harrison. BTW, he also doubles as JJ Walker on 70's on 7. 5 stars.

Hits 1, for the most part, is a typical top 40 station. But it does seem that they focus more on rock tracks than urban hits, regardless of their chart positions. I don't know why they don't play all the songs in the top 40. Repetition can be annoying, but that's unavoidable for this format.

I don't mind the Morning Mash Up (I know a lot of people aren't really big fans.) I don't think they interrupt the music for too long, and I would rather hear their [partly] live show than the voicetracked djs that are on for the rest of the day. Plus I like Rich Davis from his talk show on 108, so that's my opinion on the Morning Mash Up.

As for the countdowns, I feel they could be better. Now that Hits 1 does top 20 countdowns throughout the day, it seems rather evident to me that they are totally made up. Songs that don't get regular airtime on the channel make it into the countdown and then songs that I honestly don't believe people could still be requesting that frequently often make it to the top spots. The Weekend Countdown with Spyder Harrison is not bad, I like listening to it- but I wish they wouldn't replay it so many times on the weekend. After hearing it once, I don't want to listen to the same commentary and same song order again.

For the most part the djs aren't too annoying, and this is the type of music I prefer to listen to, so 4.5 stars.

I love this channel, but for some reason I only listen to it on XM, not on Sirius. I guess its because I wasn't much of a fan of Sirius 1's morning show pre-merger.

The music is so-so. I listen because I like to hear new music. I don't care if half the new music is crap. Sometimes the crap grows one you.

The DJ's are ok. Like any other FM Channel out there.

I give it 5 out of 5 Stars

I heard a nice Katy Perry song. She's a nice girl.

I thought a Gurl was someone of either gender?
