No, I totally agree that CNet is part of a massive anti-Apple, pro-moron conspiracy. You're super smart to figure that out. LOL!

The money wasn't right this time around but I am scoping out the 15" Macbook Pro. Probably the top-end model but we'll see. I'll likely wind up getting a 3GS first (maybe as early as next week?)

Not to get in the middle of any MS vs. Apple battle, but I'm browsing the site on my new Macbook Pro. :D

Nice, welcome to our small Mac family here on DRC! :)

I went for the top 15 inch model. I wanted something that would last me a while.

I don't understand why you guys want to give Apple all that extra money going with the top of the line. The difference in processors is minimal and with the lower end model you can upgrade the memory and drive yourself and save a very decent amount. The upgrade takes about 10 minutes at the most, and then just installing the OS again. If you use Time Machine it is totally painless.

Maybe it is just me, but I am not giving Apple anymore money than I have too. I do love my MacBook Pro and Mac Mini.

Well I finally got around to messing with the Magic Mouse! I purchased it and returned it!

Battery life sucks, I find mousing to be slow even with it set to max, but ultimately it is just a damn uncomfortable mouse to use.

I'll keep my RocketFish Apple look alike mouse, it works GREAT and cost me $20. :)

Well their issue was more about when you tried to use it that it would move around. Now that was BS, I had no problem with it moving around while I attempted to use it rather scrolling with one finger and swishing 2 fingers across it. If you notice in the video he basically pushes his thumb against it as he is swiping his fingers around it saying OH and the mouse tends to move around and we found ourselves having to chase it. Well duh YES if you are pushing it around with your thumb. Just lightly use your two fingers and it doesn't go anywhere.

However, the comment of it not being very comfortable was in fact true for me others have said they find it okay. I think it depends on how heavy handed you are in terms of holding your mouse. However to just show poor their reviews are and he says we spent time with it, which I don't buy. If he had he'd would have brought up about the poor battery life and the slow mousing, neither of which he mentions. So he basically got one thing correct! So the review still gets * star out of 5. LOL

LOL indeed. I was just teasing a bit. I gave it a quick read, and didn't bother watching the vid to be honest. Since I'm not driving a Mac, I wasn't going to put much effort into their review. I was more interested in DRC user reviews. I'm still pretty happy with my 6 button Itac tennis shoe!

CNET jumped the proverbial shark long ago.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day...

Call me old school but, I prefer my mouse to work more than just twice a day. :p

OTOH-Maybe I should get the magic mouse, it could really free up some of my time.

Or I can foil jobs plans and buy enough MM's to remove and assemble all the tiny multitouch pads into one big keyboard like it should be.
