I may need to do something like this. I've been trying to use the app on my android but the goddam thing goes into "checking for updates" CONSTANTLY. I need a unit I can take around the house and outside and that can stream via wireless and satellite to a bluetooth device. My cell phone is sitting here 6 inches from my wireless router and I'm STILL losing signal.

Or... is there some wireless solution where I can place radios around the house and broadcast? I'd love to be able to just "turn on" sirius in the bathroom or bedroom or office or wherever.

One more question - if this Lynx setup is used via wifi only, does it still require an additional subscription?

You can just use your Online Login for the Lynx and won't need an additional subscription. Just means if you dock it you won't be able to use the Satellite Portion.

As for the other questions, let me get back to you. My brain is fried and working on getting our big Garage Sale organized.

I'm currently test driving an SXABB2 and Lynx, and to perfectly honest, it's a very good fit for the two pieces. The speaker system and Lynx work flawlessly together. You can run the Lynx as a regular plug and play, or connect via wi-fi (requires additional cost).

The Lynx does have bluetooth capabilities, but I currently do not have a set of bluetooth headphones to test with it. I will try to "borrow" a pair in the next few days, and I can give you results from that.

why does wifi require additional costs?

He means that you can use the Lynx as a Standard Satellite Radio Only Radio

OR

Use it as an Internet Radio (using your SXM Internet Login, $3.50 Per month)

OR

Like most will do use it as both.

So if I already have an internet subscription, then this unit could be used around the house on wifi without having to add another radio to my account?

You may have to activate it first, which requires a subscription. I didn't try mine before activating it.

Finally got around to getting this boom box for my Lynx unit. It is really nice. smaller and lighter than the old boom box that I had with my stiletto. I had been using my old one with the Aux cable input, but since TSS had a Sweet deal on the unit I could not resist! Thanks Taylor for the deal! Love the Hats too!

Thanks for ordering it Mike! I'm just glad I caught your name when looking through the orders.

I assume this work with the Edge of course. I think I would rather get it from you guys since it has the newer SiriusXM logo (I like consistency) is the "Antenna Stand" detachable at all?

It def works with the Edge but the Antenna Stand is not detachable. I can see how you would think it could be seeing as how it's a different color than the rest of the boombox.

Is there a port to connect an additional antenna? Where I want to place this I'm not sure how good the Sat signal would be.

Did the previous one have an antenna that was detachable? Could have sworn I saw one on YouTube that had a detachable antenna
