Tony Martin's There's No Tomorrow, written by Al Hoffman, Leo Corday and Leon Carr, peaked at #2 on Billboard's February 4 1950 Best Selling Pop Singles chart behind the Andrews Sisters' I Can Dream, Can't I? It, and Elvis Presley's It's Now Or Never, written by Wally Gold and Aaron Schroeder, use the tune of the Neapolitan song 'O Sole Mio ("My sunshine"), written in 1898 by Giovanni Capurro (words) and Eduardo di Capua and Alfredo Mazzucchi (music).

Here is the original version of 'O Sole Mio by Brooklyn-born baritone Emilio de Gorgoza. In August 1908, this reached #3 on the Best Selling Records chart of record industry magazine Talking Machine World. A version by British baritone Alan Turner reached #8 in May 1914 and a version by Enrico Caruso got to #3 in July 1916.
