Android update

So Android has moved away from cute names like Ice Cream, Jelly Bean, Krispy Kreme, Laxative and just gone back to numbers?
 
Nothing for my Note 4 yet.
One of the trade-offs of Android is that everyone doesn't get upgraded at the same time. (That could probably qualify as both a pro and a con.)
I wouldn't think 5.1.1 would have too much more to offer over 5.0.1 though.

The big ones are:

1. Permissions aren't granted at install anymore, but when the app tries to use them, and you can veto them individually like you can on iOS. There's also a way to see which apps have which permission.

2. The "OK Google" voice command works everywhere now, and also when the display is off but the phone is charging.

3. Reduced power consumption.

Great! Now I don't have to go onto Androidforums to look it up.
 
My phone updated to android 8.0 (oreo) with Samsung experience 9. There's some new features with notifications, and an extra row of options on the keyboard, including gifs. Anyone else familiar with this?
